いつものように、本日の日替わり料理をご紹介します。
トマトと玉子のオイスターソース炒め 250円
それと、浅漬けしたきゅうりに特製甘醬油+ごま油の・・・
きゅうりの浅漬けサクサク風 200円
この他にもあれこれご用意して、皆様のご来店を心待ちにしておりまする(●^o^●)
ここからは、ごいっしょに英語のお勉強をしたいのですが、
日曜日の読売新聞には『とらべる英会話』という、海外特派員が日常でよく耳にする英会話を紹介するコーナーがあり、ぼくは毎回それを楽しみにして読んでいます。
で、今回注目したワードは《Could I join you?(ご一緒してもよろしいですか?)》です。
ベルリンの特派員の方が、電車の4人がけの座席に座っていると、通路を歩いてきた男性に、
"Could I join you?"(ご一緒してもよろしいですか?)
と声をかけられたそうです。
初対面の相手だから《could》なわけで、顔見知りなどの気安い相手だったら、《can》でもいいわけです。
逆に相手を誘うときには、
"Can you join me?"(一緒にどう?)
《can》のところを《will》にしてもいいですし、簡略に、
"Please join me?"(良かったら一緒ににどう?)
でもいいようです。
また、
"Care to join me?"も「一緒にどう?」という意味で、ネイティブが日常的に使うフレーズだそうです。
「ひとりぼっちなんだ。いっしょにどう?」
"I wish I could, but I can't."
(そうできたらいいんだけど、でもムリだわ)
"Because you're going to eat me, right?"
(だって、君、ぼくを食べる気でしょ?)
